Antique Fair & Yard Sale

Hi everyone!

Mark your calendars and come enjoy the fun!!

We'll be adding new items each week as we get ready for the BIG weekend!!

Hope to see you.

Moving Forward

Hi everyone!

I have found this week that seeing our Curiosity Cottage take off to new heights has left me excited to the point of being Giddy.

Having a dream for 22 years and seeing that dream come to fruition AND for that it to be a success, well there is just no greater feeling.

Last week I added this vintage typewriter to our booth.  Not only did it sell, but it is going to be used in a MOVIE!!  WOW, this is like having your child elected for class president!!

This is all because this business is like my baby!

It makes me look so forward to my Easter break at the college so I can create, create, create new things to add to our shop.  I'll keep you posted.

Getting Ready

Hi everyone!

Well it is that time for year; Spring is in the air here in the deep south.

Easter is just around the corner and the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall will be having its Semi-Annual Antique Fair/Yard Sale.

So this afternoon we made sure our booth was all ready to go!!

We'll be adding new items lately and will keep you posted with pictures!!

Busy Week Ahead

Hi everyone!

We have a busy week ahead of us and our Curiosity Cottage.  Tonight we have been pricing and boxing up new items that we will add to our booth this week.

In addition, I am stitching out new items to add as well.

We are adding in some exciting vintage items, which we will show you soon.  In addition, our new websites for The Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall & Durio's Curio will also be unveiled this week!!  So watch for our progress & wish us well!!

Dreams REALLY Do Come True

Hi everyone!

Well I can finally say that my dream of having my own little shop has come true!!!  Thanks so THE most AMAZING friends, family & church family!

Curiosity Cottage officially has its own little place at the Washington Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall!!

Michael & I will be adding new items EVERY weekend!!

And some of his AMAZING photography will also be added this Spring!!

In addition, I will be launching a website for the Washington Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall.

We also have a new site Louisiana Treasures, that will also debut in the next couple of weeks!!

This new site will feature businesses between Opelousas & Washington Louisiana.

THE PERFECT "Day Trip" idea!!

So watch for GREAT deals and items to win, in the very near future!!

Reflections from a Mom

Hi everyone,

I had to take a break from my work on Curiosity Cottage, to just reflect on my heart from a mom's perspective.

The Heart of a Mother

I also think the important thing about any business venture is that one must never loose sight of what is really important.  Taking the time to tell your love ones how much they mean to you; taking the time to reflect and pray about all of the blessings in your life, thanking the Lord for those blessings - even when you may find that life is a bit overwhelming, is truly what life is all about!!

So as I prepare for the new chapter that lies ahead for Curiosity Cottage I find that the gratitude I have for what the Lord has already done for my little business and through my little business, if that is all that comes from this new chapter, will be reward enough!!

He has already allowed Curiosity Cottage to show my friends and family INCREDIBLE God Winks.  I just cannot wait to see what else He has in store!!

From Jen's Heart

Hi everyone!

As I prepare Curiosity Cottage for the next chapter of business development, I have decided to use my blog From Jen's Heart to continue my writings, and save Curiosity Cottage for my creative business endeavors.

So take a second and check it out!  What do you think???  Both sites have pages that will link you to the other page.

I look so forward to hearing your feedback!
