I can so relate to Santa

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I was able to write, but thank goodness 2012 is here and all is well in my world!!  :D  As my hectic semester came to a close, my Christmas orders began to take off.  So here you go...tada, my creations for Christmas 2011.

As for myself, well I am working on my little cottage getting things all in order before the students enter my classroom.  With this exciting New Year I want to continue to create and work on my novels.  Nothing thrills me more than creating new things, whether those things be a blog for a client, an apron for a friend, or teaching my students to write computer programs.  All of this require me to use my brain and in the end yield something exciting!!

I ran toward 2012 like a young child who has just spotted Mickey Mouse at Disney and I intend to embrace this year with all that talents that I have been blessed with!!

Happy New Year my friends!!

All in the Family

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited tonight to post one of my precious Sam's designs.  My kids are so enjoying watching my business grown and helping.  Since we live in the country, hunting is just a way of life.  This fall Sam came up with the phrase "I Grill What I Kill".  Even before I had sewn my first cammo apron, when I told people about Sam's idea they wanted to buy one!

It is so exciting creating things for people, but it is even more exciting to take the ideas of my kids and be able to incorporate them into Curiosity Cottage.  I am one blessed and proud momma!!

Bloom where you are planted!

Hi everyone!

This is one of my favorite sayings!! I combined it with this precious floral design because they seemed such a perfect fit. After all, just because we wear aprons to work, doesn't mean we cannot have fun while we are moving our many mountains!!

Hugs!

Two is better than one...

Hi everyone!

Well tonight I am posting both an indoor project and an outdoor project. Since I last posted indoor chairs, here is one of my vintage outdoor chairs that I have redone!

And when I haven't been working on outside projects, I've been working on indoor projects! :D This apron is for the Herb Society. Since my new machine can also make lace and INCREDIBLE designs, I've included a lace heart on this apron. It just seemed to fit with the design of the fabric. I also lined this apron, so I just LOVE the feel of the finished product!! This is one project that I would LOVE to keep!! :D

Tomorrow I'll reveal my new "Mommy & Me" gift set!! It is soooooo cute!!! That is what is just so amazing about this new path that I am on; each day is just an INCREDIBLE new adventure!!

Enjoy your Friday evening!!

Hugs!

Inspiration in its simplest form!!

Some women are dangerous in the mall or a jewelry store...for me it is a fabric store!! After the INCREDIBLE response I received from my custom apron design I have hit the ground running with new creations. Some artists work with paint, for me it is fabric! Though some of my new mixed media will include both. I am also just soooo very blessed to have a lot of creative and artistic friends!! Your ideas and inspiration serve as little God Winks daily to illustrate so clearly that I am on the path that my life was supposed to take all along!!!

So I've included this photo that I call "Inspiration." I'll follow it up with "Inspiration Complete" when I am done!!

Hugs!
Jen
